Was time to leave, but many are now interested to learn something new about our beautiful Black sea. Here are some facts.
The black sea is inhabited by 2500 species of animals.
Of course, if to compare with the Mediterranean sea that is home to over 9000 species of “residents” – a figure not so much. But at the bottom we can find oysters, clams and mussels. But such a predator as a Rapana, was brought by sailors from the Far East.
The most dangerous fish in the depths of the black sea – the sea dragon.
The fish is poisonous. Contains poison on the Gill flaps and on the spines of the dorsal fin. No less dangerous stingrays and Scorpion fish.
The black sea is a surprise to me that in his day, and is the depth of 150-200 meters, there is no life (except some bacteria). The reason is that the layers of the sea are saturated with hydrogen sulfide. Continue reading
Shark – the largest and most dangerous predator of the red sea, this sea has about 30 shark species, 2nd most dangerous is the tiger shark that attacks people and long-winged shark. Not arguing that and even have the great white shark the most dangerous shark in the world, but evidence of this until no. Maybe someone has specifically allowed such gossip to scare people. No need to fear, these sharks are current in the open sea, and near the shores they don’t float.
Look how many people every day stay in Egypt and they do not attack sharks. However in 2010 there was a case when a shark attacked 4 tourists, but these sharks were caught and killed (so claim the Egyptian authorities). Why did it happen? Explanations were that some ship dumped a batch of spoiled meat in the sea, sharks eat it sailed to shore, feeling the smell of this ship.
In 2011, all is quiet and there was not a single attack, so the shark in the red sea is not so dangerous, many species are not generally a threat to humans. Continue reading
Catfish lane (lat. Corydoras arcuatus) is one of the most common types of aquarium fish. Has a calm disposition and a very good capacity for acclimatization. In natural conditions it lives in fresh waters of South America, particularly in Brazil, Peru and Ecuador. The two-lane catfish occurs in the upper Amazon and its tributaries. The water is clean with temperatures ranging from +22 to +26 C. it Prefers shallow areas with sandy or fine gravel bottom. Was opened in 1939 and at first it was called the armoured catfish due to the fact that on his body there are two rows of large scales –modified bone plates. They protect it from predators.
Most of the catfish spends time in search of food . which collects in the lower layers of the reservoir at the bottom. Fish touches the bottom of his elongated snout with sensitive whiskers. Catfish them touches the ground, catching invertebrates living there. Continue reading
