– During routine inspection of landfills, the employees of the regional Rosprirodnadzor has noticed the strange oil stains that covered the garbage heap, – told Life News in the press service of Rosprirodnadzor in the city of Krasnodar. – Upon closer inspection, it was found that the ponds were neatly interspersed with lime, covered with polyethylene sheet and soil.

But over time, the oil spot still leaked to the surface. According to preliminary data, the hazardous wastes were brought here at least throughout the year.

Specialists of Rosprirodnadzor sure that hazardous wastes probably fell straight into the Black sea, causing irreparable damage to the waters.

– There is a real danger of water pollution, – continues a source in Rosprirodnadzor. – Next to the landfill is a stream vaduev Black sea. Preliminary results of the analysis indicate the excess of MPC of oil products in the stream.

Currently experts are investigating and so far refuse to name the organization that arranged the dump of oil products on the black sea coast.

However, local ecologists there is no doubt that the culprit of environmental disasters is the Tuapse refinery.

According to environmental Prosecutor’s office, since 2002, the plant was dumping waste into the river Tuapse, – told Life News the ecologist Evgeny Vitishko. In 2007 it was officially announced that the concentration of oil products in sea water in the area exceeds the acceptable norm of 14 thousand times. Even then, the damage was estimated at 4 – 5 billion rubles. But this story then resulted in administrative fines.

The specialists of “Environmental watch on North Caucasus” confident that in recent years the situation with pollution of the sea by oil waste has only worsened.

– Last year in this area we observed a mass mortality of dolphins, continues Yevgeny Vitishko. – Now that we found this dump, it became obvious that was the cause of plague animals.
