Habitat
Live croakers live mainly in tropical and subtropical zones of the basins of the Atlantic, Pacific and Indian oceans, and only a few representatives of the family occur in temperate regions. There are no croakers live in the Red sea, the Seychelles Islands, in Melanesia, Micronesia, Polynesia and in the Azores. In the waters of Bermuda are inhabited only by a single species. At the same time two species Sciaena umbra and Umbrina penetrated through the Mediterranean sea and the Marmara sea in inland low-salinity seas – Black and Azov.

Catfish description fish
